Apple-Berry Crisp

This dessert was ah-mazing!  We finished it off so fast.
I had the last little bit for breakfast the next day... Fruit & oats are breakfast foods, at least that's what I told my kids when they saw the empty pan.

fruit crisp

Apple-Berry Crisp
3 cups sliced and peeled apples
1 bag frozen mixed berries
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp  flour
1-1/2 cups oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1 stick melted butter or margarine

In a large baking pan 9x13 size put the fruit and mix it with the 2 Tbsp. of flour & 2 Tbsp. of sugar.  Combine butter, cinnamon, nutmeg brown sugar, oats and flour.  Crumble evenly over the top of the fruit mixture.  Bake in an oven preheated to 375 for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crisp topping is golden.

It is great served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream- but also wonderful without, too!

Sorry, I didn't save any for you.
