Easy Boston Cream Pie


This is the cake everyone in my family requests on birthdays. It is so moist and delicious- but extremely easy to make. This one impresses everyone!









For the Cake:
Use: 1 yellow cake mix (prepared according to package)
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix

Prepare a yellow cake in two round cake pans according to package directions. Allow to cool completely. Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions for pie filling (less milk). Chill until thickened. Spread pudding between both layers. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before frosting. Top with glaze and refrigerate until serving.


Chocolate Glaze:
2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
water- thinned to a thick pouring consistency

Melt chocolate and butter together, add to powdered sugar. Add vanilla and a little bit of water, until slightly runny and smooth. Pour over cake, letting it run over the sides.
