Carmel Brownies

These are a tried and true favorite in my family, and now with my in-laws. I got it from a roommate while in college (a really long time ago)!

1 GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX

1/2 BAG CHOCOLATE CHIPS

1/2 C BUTTER

2/3 C EVAPORATED MILK

14 OZ CARAMELS

IN SAUCEPAN MELT CARAMELS WITH 1/3 C EVAP. MILK. MIX CAKE MIX, BUTTER, AND 1/3 C EVAP. MILK TOGETHER. PUT HALF CAKE MIXTURE INTO A GREASED PAN-PAT DOWN. BAKE 350 6 MIN. SPREAD CHIPS, AND MELTED CARAMEL MIXTURE OVER CAKE. SPRINKLE THE REST OF CAKE MIXTURE ON TOP. 350 15-20 MIN. DON’T OVER BAKE!

Love these! We have a very similar recipe & they are a favorite, too. Thanks for sharing. The salsa looks good, too. I love fresh salsa!
