Oreo Truffles

These are so addicting! I am eating them like crazy this week. I don't think I will be allowed to make them again for a long time. They are very rich & chocolaty- just the way I like my desserts.

So here's how you do it:

1 lb Oreo cookies
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 lb chocolate
1/2 lb white chocolate

In a food processor, grind the cookies into a powder. Blend with cream cheese and vanilla until no trace of white remains. Roll into small balls and place on a wax lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate for about 45 minutes.

Melt chocolate (I just used chocolate chips) in the microwave (or double boiler) and then dip the balls into chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off. Place on wax paper. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over the top. Refrigerate until the chocolate is cooled.
Eat... by the dozen. Or share a few if you are feeling nice. Keep the left over ones in the fridge in an air tight container.

I've made these a few times over the past year or two and they get gobbled up every time!
